Young Adult's Bible Study

As I type this short summary about the young adults bible study (hopefully encouraging you to come along) it is clear to me how we have been blessed both as a group and individually. Each one of us who has attended has grown in faith. What we have learned has really helped us in our day to day lives and better equips us to hopefully be more effective Christians.
To date we have used the Lifebuilder Bible Studies from Scripture Union (available from Iris in the Faith Mission Bookshop) and we have covered topics such as Old Testament Characters, New Testament Characters and are currently working our way through  “Heaven Our True Home”. We also have a guest speaker from time to time and the evening concludes with a time of prayer.
While we enjoy fun, fellowship, food, day trips  etc etc  there have also been difficult circumstances to face since we have started meeting, for example personal loss.  However, studying and listening to what God’s word teaches has helped us during these times. God’s word is so relevant to the here and now. It’s great to take time and study the living word of God together – why not come along!.
We have just started a new study on the book of James - "Faith that works" and continue to meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month. There are usually between 7-10 of us that meet, each taking a turn to lead the study.
